My oldest child has autism, which is conjectured to be a genetic difference.  My second child probably(not yet officially dx)has Cornelia deLange Syndrome(CdLS), which is a genetic difference.  CdLS kids tend to have autistic characteristics if not "full blown autism".  My second child does NOT show very many signs of autism, but does show a few.  Do you think their genetic differences are related?  I have read that most cases of CdLS are a spontaneous genetic mutation, but 2 have 2 kids with these 2 genetic conditions doesn't sound like a fluke to me.  They are from the same parents.
WillJen, someone -- I forget who -- here at AFF has CdLS and started a thread about it a couple of months ago. I don't recall the response being wide -- not a lot of people here knowing a lot about it -- but i do recall reading some interesting ideas.

This may sound totally unhelpful, but aybe someone more knowlegable than I about seraching the forum archives could find that...
