I saw a post with Max saying she was on Oprah. Prior to this I did not have the slightest idea of who she was. Quick searching on the internet on who she is hasn't given me any indication of a powerful presence or a brilliant mind.

Umm... I might be part of it as long as it isn't violent and if there aren't any "we against" them mentality... and if I can be a member even if I can't choose to trip out of Norway at any given time.
Some aspies are very, very good at math and many of these become good programmers, but not everyone has the same special mental abilities. 'ey! Batman55!

Get a group of American aspies & auties (wish I could join in, but this one's America-specific) to target the "Combating Autism" act by assembling out the front of the white house with a white flag, demanding to enter into peace treaty negotiations. I guarantee that it would make headlines... *grins*
Aside from that, I think there's plenty of publicity stunts one could plan without entering into an us vs them scenario.

That's the spirit! I get really nervous when anyone starts using us/them talk, or words like 'enemy', in stuff like this - because a misfired publicity stunt that makes Aspies look violent, irrational, or just plain silly, will not do us any good at all. It will make us look stupid. Aspies Are Stupid is not the message we're trying to spreak.
Plus, it will have the Kill Or Cure brigade standing on the sidelines with their chelation gear saying "See????"
