Aspies For Freedom

Here's a story/idea from my head. On the rights movement, there was many squabble. On the pro-cure movement made me angered at Jenny McCarthy, and other mis-leaded people. My response was to gather 300 people on the autistic spectrum (mostly aspies), and lead them in defending the rights. We had many weapons to defend ourselves. To sum it up, 300 aspies/auties versus millions of NTs!

Get a group of American aspies & auties (wish I could join in, but this one's America-specific) to target the "Combating Autism" act by assembling out the front of the white house with a white flag, demanding to enter into peace treaty negotiations. Aside from that, I think there's plenty of publicity stunts one could plan without entering into an us vs them scenario.

I could definitely go for this idea. Seriously, if there were going to be a bunch of other people to gather with, I would scrounge up the money for airfare by any means!

If I'm on top financially again by the time enough people are willing and able to get together for this, it might even be a good excuse for an overseas trip...

Possibly. But know this: The 300 aspies meme is merely a symbol. We could do that kind of protest. Maybe we should hand out brochures and/or pamphlets.

Absolutely. The biggest problem we have with organising these sorts of protests at the moment is that not many of us are from the same country - and those that are from the same country are generally a long way away from each other.

If we can find a large enough group (10-20 people would do) willing and able to get to the White House, then it's a great idea. Otherwise, we'll have to think of something clever that lots of scattered individuals could do...
