Does anyone else like the IT crowd? I am currently hooked on it and am preaching  it like a Jehovas Witness.

The second series started recently and I am in love with it. I also have the DVD of the first series and am planning to get the second series DVD as soon as poss if only for the outtakes, deleted scenes and commentaries.

This programme is going to be remade in the US soon- what do people think of this- can't see the point myself- surely it would be easier and cheaper just to buy the Brit version straight off?

To keep a theme, do you reckon any of the characters could be aspie? I reckon Moss and Roy could both well be. Even Richmond is suitably socially clueless- as he proved in Friday's episode.

Any other IT addicts out there?
I'd hazard a guess that even the two bosses have AS, my style AS anyway Tongue
*grins* I just watched the first 3 episodes of the second season - I loved the "Moss and the German" one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLZaqPho_ww).

To me it seems like practically every character in the show is Aspie - which probably suggests that the writer's the culprit.

If you like IT Crowd, another good one to check out is "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace". It's a take-off of an 80's horror series, featuring a few of the IT Crowd people...
Would you say the bosses have AS? there's the shouty, knows what he's doing but obviously eccentric older boss (played by Chris Morris) and then there's his son who also seems to have my style of AS Tongue

Fun programme, I reckon Moss if nobody else was the character consiously made to have AS, hell maybe the actor has it...he really does speak like that you know Tongue
I think Denholm might have been AS. Not so sure about Douglas.

Writer Graham Linehan is possibly borderline. He has stated that he is a lot like the character Roy and is mad about computers. Obviously this is hardly diagnostic criteria but- who knows?

Ian- you definitely have a point with Richard Ayoade- a.k.a Moss- I saw this short interview on Youtube of him, and he asked the interviewer if he could not look him in the eye as it was awkward for him. I have also heard he uses quite formal vocab.
It's for the best tbh, I prefered Denholm, I saw a lot of me in him actually Tongue
Maybe Denholm's death was just a ruse to get out of legal trouble and he'll be back. He was better than Douglas, although there's room for him as well.
