I was joking about the "bitter" part. The point is, that was a lot of money in 1975. According to the online dollar value calculators, what cost $69 in 1975 would cost $272.49 in 2006.  Of course it was soon obsolete, like beta videotapes. So, would you say that a video game that does this is worth $273 of entertainment to you?

That was a lot of money-it depends on weather or not you think the money was worth it,I guess...
People invest time and money on different things,as long as you liked it,I guess it doesnt matter...if you got a nice memory from it,I think it must have been valueble after allSmile

Yeah, that was fun too...I liked to find the hidden doors...Smile
I still havnt found games I enjoyed as much as a couple of the old Amiga Games.

Frontier Elite

Eye of the Beholder 2

I have a stash of modern Space exploration games, all of them abandoned after the first hour, still not finding another "Elite"

David Brabems company used to hint at a new Elite, but I see the site has been updated and no hint of a new Elite on there now :-(

Not many people seem to know this one, but I loved Boulderdash.
Also Frogga, Space Invaders and others.

Frogga...was that the frog who was going to cross the road without beeing hit by a car,or jump from one tree to another in the river?

That's it. I think there was the occasional ambulance that went really fast on the road. You then had to cross the river with logs and the occasional crocodile. If you landed on the crocodiles head it would eat you.

I miss those gamesSad
There was also a skier...I think the gme might have been called skier.
He went down hill slow or in a hurry,it was for you to decide.
He might crash in a tree every now and again, but when he crossed the line, the game ended.
The stoneage-man was a man riding on a weel and had to look out for holes in the road and bow under the tree-branches.

I do remember the skier one as well. I thought there was a skiing one that was very similar to frogga, with the skier having to cross the busy road first before he got onto the ski slope and then - had to dodge snow balls or something?  My memory is pretty fuzzy on that one. I played those games on the Commodore 64 Game Machine.  Never played the Stone Age one though.
