I watched this show when I was a kid. I liked it, but was not crazy about it. I pretty much forgot about it until I found it here:

DUDE! All hale the power of the Internet! I absolutely love it now! They show a different episode every one or two weeks. This week's episode is titled "Know-It-Alls" and seems kind of aspie-ish. I find every episode absolutely hilarious.

Anyone else like this show?
Yes, I loved it when I was younger and would get it on DVD if it were available. Have you heard of Wayne & Schuster? It was another good Canadian comedy show.
Yeah I used to watch You Can't do that on Television, too. It's funny.
It's also where Alanis Morissette started out. I can't remember for sure which one she was. It was just the coolest show!
If this were the 'word association' thread, I'd think of Zappa. But I could not decide if I'd wrote 'You can't do that on stage anymore' (album title) and 'I am the slime (from your video)' (song title).
I too loved that show when it was on Nickelodeon when i was a kid. My mom didn't like it though, she was that type of mom...
But when I'd sneak and watch it I thought it was so funny, and disturbing. The only part I really remember is when the family that was always on it had their plumbing adjusted so that the boy was taking a shower in sewage (or so I remember it) I was mortified.
was the sewage green? That was green slime.
no, not slime... they didn't actually show it. I probably only remember half of the sketch, admittedly.

I liked the sketches they did in the school cafeteria. The food always looked very gross - nearly as bad as the green slime.
I think people got slimed when they said certain words but I forget what they were.
Aha, that's right. Now I remember!
Yeah, and it was right about the age when I would have thought someone like Christine McGlade aka Moose or Lisa Ruddy was attractive. Ahhh, to be 13 or 14 again, or an 8th or 9th grade reject? On second thought I'm glad I'm thirtysomething.
They get slimed whenever they say "I don't know".
They get drenched with water whenever they use the word "water".
Specifically green slime for "i don't know"
They also introduced red slime at some point, but I can't remember what they had to say or do for that.
There also used to be a kid's game show in Australia in the 1980's where the audience had to yell out "physical challenge" and the kids had to go through this maze full of gooey slime to find hidden tokens. The team which found the most got extra points. I think Mike Meade (who used to be in the late 1970's Aussie ABC cult show "Flashez") might have been the compere for several seasons.
Speaking of things you can't do on Television, we used to get this music show called "Sounds Unlimited". On one show, the compere farted audibly and then turned rather red in the face. He still managed to keep on with the show which was very much to his credit.
