People hate us eh?

And you people wonder why i'm such a bastard.
1.) it's achieving 2.) laugh at my picture damn it, what kinda friend are you Richard, for shame  Tongue

And yes I agree, it seems people indeed hate us because we're argumentative spineless pricks, can't say I blame them from what I've seen here.

Guesswho's version of God :p

ya know as a side if Satan came to earth in that guise i'd probably bow down right there and then Tongue
Fuck me ragged.

could you like, argue in pm or something?

I'm starting to think people are right, the world is full of barbarians.

Ian
Yes I know we have this tendency towards perseveration but it has got very aggravating seeing the same broken record statements over and over and it isn't getting anywhere.

Batman55, I do think you need to see a doctor asap to get your health woes sorted out. Simply worrying about them will only make them worse.
If necessary, write down all the symptoms and hand the list to the doctor.

I wonder why people might sound hateful when they think they are not.  Two possibilities:
1.  They might say the party line but not really agree with it.  I don't like that certain part of Christianity nor did I relish ignoring Julie (from the Rebecca group) after she flirted with me en route to Rachael's wedding.  Julie either didn't believe in Jesus or kept it a hell of a secret (which is not good either).  Recently I figured out I did that for Jesus.  I don't want Him to be a failure in my personal life.  It is a motivation to keep waiting just in case He does, because if I admit defeat, surrender, and end up with some nice other Julie or Martha, it would make me very sad to think He failed me.  It is the difference between A. Jesus really came through for me again and B. Darn it Jesus didn't care, and it is going to leave a terrible taste in my mouth for the rest of my life.
2.  It is like alcoholism. Unconscious.

2.

Ah, I see. But look, Jesus didn't keep you single. It is just bad luck and maybe one day you will get some good luck. If you end up with another lady who doesn't quite meet your exacting standards, it won't mean that God let you down - it will just mean that you finally took off the blinkers and realised that we are all flawed and we just do the best we can.

But I also must tell you that women are often turned off by an air of superiority and condescension. We wish to be recognised as intellectual equals and not as fluffy chicks. I might not have fancy medals or distinguished qualifications but that doesn't mean I am unintelligent and to be patronised.

Couldn't he have solved his disagreements without all that killing?
I don't know about the rest of you, but I read the first few posts, and can only imagine Aliengirl sitting there feeling pissed, about the way you lot, not naming names, just in general, took the thread, shat on it, and turned it into a debate about god.

Poor Aliengirl just got her thread completely derailed and wrecked beyond any hope of ever seeing it back on track IMO.

Probably better this thread died a natural death IMO, its just stirring up a hornets nest, these sort of quasi-religious debates never go anywhere, nomatter who is doing the debating.

Just my two pence (and I want change)

I think that over here to say 'I hear you ' means:-
I know what you are saying, but I choose to disagree.

I say I think, because when it is said, that is the impression that I get.

Yes, that's what it means. I dislike it because I'd rather they just came out and said they disagreed with what I said without being patronising about it. "I hear you" is to my mind, one of the more condescending replies it is possible to get.

"Maybe your faith can move mountains, but while you sit there before the mountain, strong in your faith, we'll be digging away at it with something a little bit more substantial."

*sits on Arctoris's face with his sweaty, spotty, arse*

Stop being so damn contemptible you sad, experimental lifeform.

I never professed to BELIEVING in it, I just said that I agree with its basic tenants.

and its not Paganism, which implies Wiccian, its Heathen.

You've just been hit by the irony train.

I'm the same faith dumbass. ;p

I guess I believe in..well..Shinto itself, not necessarily the Gods (although I reckon the sun goddess is pretty hot Tongue lol)

I believe in Kami/spirits mind...Yasukuni Shrine etc.
Somebody's either posted a massive pic or a massive post Tongue I believe it's the latter.
