the Rotenburg center IS in America.
near Washington DC,i believe....so sorry,it DOES fly in your country.
best thing that could happen to that place is,the students "rise up" and riot.smash the place down.
Burn it!
We had a news story on the Judge Rotenberg Centre here. There was a lovely, gentle looking girl in the story, she was hooked up to a electrical device and when she saw the device that emits the electric shock, she cowered with fear. It was awful - just beyond belief that such a place is allowed to exist.
So I've searched the net over and not found much. Here is the only site that seems dedicated to stopping this sort of thing: http://community-2.webtv.net/CIBRA/CIBRA/
Didn't see anything really new there, though. This is troubling. What is actually being done?
before long we will have one defending the place.

....and we can point and laugh as they get cut into itty bitty shreds,by the entire forum.
before long we will have one defending the place.

that would be good - I would love to hear a parent or some one involved in running the school attempt to give justification for this type of treatment regime. 300calories a day - oooohhhhhhh.
anyway, you'll find that they have someone watching all of the forums like ours-they need to keep abreast of any threats to their program, and thus, their monies..
They were caught out through 'pinging' & had to admit who they were.
You may be surprised to know that MANY parents actually do defend the horrible evil place.

people will always fear what is different.
parents will always want to live though their child.
they obviously don't know what its like to live in fear.perhaps if they met some of the kids from that reprehensible place, and where able to compare them to,say,WWII POWS,or someone suffering form PTSD,then they might see a little differently.
an individual in their teens should not cringe when an adult walks by.they shouldn't HAVE to endure shock treatment,i mean,*** SAKE,Prisoners of **** WAR get better treatment (leaves to cool down for a bit)
PM Couldbe,he'll sort it out.
What does pin mean?
Have I done something wrong?
Pin means sticking the thread,so it stays at the top of the list forever more (that it remains a sticky)
:ponders:
parents will always want to live though their child.
Please generalize with care. SOME parents, perhaps. I am not among them and neither is my husband.
Um, no, not really ... not with Bush in office.
alright, that was wonr,i forgot the word "some".
and i was speaking, shall we say, according to the little things that get forgotten in this day and age, what are they called now..oh yeah, the Geneva Conventions!

Sorry but it a isn't all great you'll need to read all of the comments on this blogg, but at least it isn't never ending :-

Of course it isn't all good, nor is it all bad. Life is usually not that simple. These comments appear to be centered on a single case. I am sure that the progress toward torture is rarely a sudden one, so these people have moved slowly to the position they are presently. Then an outsider, who has not moved slowly toward that position says, "Hey, that's torture!" I hardly expect them to respond, "Yeah, we figured torture was our best bet ...." because that isn't how they've held it in their minds for so many years.
Looks like D.C. is also evaluating whether any kids should be going there. Apparently, they currently have 10 enrolled.
man,do i feel sorry for you...
is what we have read about widespread within the school,or is it a select few?
one thing i have wondered, what is to stop the students getting organized and rioting,or what have you?
a Noble sentiment.
how far are you from qualifying?
