Playing an autistic woman, I thought, for an NT who is trying to play an autie, a bloody fantastic job of it she did too IMO.
What the rest of you think of this one, those who have seen it of course?
All the movies with autism always turn it into a some demented sort of thing. They always go for the most extreme form, and that makes everyone think that that is the only way autism is.

It looks a lot more realistic from the trailer - Granted, she still seems to have fairly extreme symptoms, but at least this time she seems like a real person:

I don't know about extreme, she actually looks, and acted, almost exactly like my ex girlfriend of several years ago, extreme autism as I understand (and have seen) it, means to me, kids rocking back and forth, mutism, and sometimes total innability to communicate.
