It means "In other words" - it's often used when you want to describe something you said in more detail. It's an abbreviation of the Latin phrase "Id Est", which translates as "That is".
And is there a way ASS ppl should function, so we can scale high and low? Is there a way NT ppl should function, so we can scale high and low? Of course some ppl need help, some need a lot. But where does low functioning start and where high and what are the criteria?
I tend to agree - The line between LF & HF is so blurry as to be non-existent.
I think of it not so much as a diagnostic condition, but more as whether or not a person is able to perform the everyday tasks needed to survive without help.
The reason I wanted to create the high & low functioning NT categories is to show that many Neurotypical people often need a large support structure to "cope" with day to day activities. They just have that support network ready and available.
