I dont know a lot of shorts for words like (NT=nevrotypical)

Here's a few:

AS or Aspie = Aspergers
HFA = High Functioning Autistic
LFA = Low Functioning Autistic
AC = Aspie Cousins (Meaning people who are on the autistic spectrum, but not Aspie or Autistic - the meaning of this one seems to vary from person to person)
PDD-NOS = Pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified.

Also, a couple of my own invention that I've always liked:

HFNT = High Functioning Neurotypical
LFNT = Low Functioning Neurotypical (i.e. an NT that is socially reliant to the extent that their ability to learn new skills or make choices is very limited)

*makes note on LFNT* Good one! I know quite a few of those.

*grins* I was even thinking of expanding it out to "Elephant", but I thought it might sound too much like an insult.

There is talk of mastodonts quite often, but yes, it would be insulting to the elephant.

ND either stands for neurodiversity or neurodivergent, or maybe just one of them, I'm not sure.

btw, I think the LF-HF devision is not right. Defenitely not if you attach it to neurological conditions. That are totaly different views on people. Low and High can only be used specifically. Not as a whole.

And is there a way *** ppl should function, so we can scale high and low? Is there a way NT ppl should function, so we can scale high and low? Of course some ppl need help, some need a lot. But where does low functioning start and where high and what are the criteria?

asap, as soon as possible. btw, by the way. afaik, as far as i know. ot, on topic. fwiw, for what it's worth. bolo, be on the look out. uti, under the influence. me, medical examiner.
Organzations:

DAN! = Defeat autism Now!
CAN = Cure Autism Now
FAAS= Families Aflicted with Asperger's Syndrome
We don't abreviate Autism Speaks, because  it would be AS, which is confusing.

Conditions:

OCD = Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
BPD = Borderline Personality Disorder OR Bipolar Disorder
GAD = Generalized Anxiety Disorder
SAD = Seasonal Affective Disorder
ADD = Atention Deficit Disorder
ADHD = Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
PD = Personality Disorder (not to be confused with PDD, Pervasive Developmental Disorder)

Tests

EQ and SQ = Empathy Quotient and Systemizing Quotient
MBTI = Myers-Briggs Typology Indicator
IQ- Intelligence Quotient
1.  Someone on the autistic spectrum but not Aspie or Autistic?  Are you trying to say someone with a neurology distinct from the majority of human beings but not Aspie or Autistic?

possibilities include
a. bipolar disorder: 2 of my 3 gfs, so I am very curious about A-C patterns in romantic relationships
b. Tourette's syndrome
c. OCD (someone I dated but refused to be a gf)

2.  L'Enfant Plaza in Washington DC, a major transfer point on the Metro subway between blue and orange lines (east-west) and green and yellow lines (north-south).  Brother used to come from Virginia (west, blue/orange) to see Mom and I in Greenbelt (north last stop on green).  He called us to say he was at Elenphant (L-Enfant) Plaza.

Don't say *** for Asperger.  That is kind of what happened when they had the first meetings of the American Sociological Society (***) so they renamed it to American Sociological Association.  (or Alpha Rho Epsilon fraternity, APE, with a monkey swinging through the trees as a symbol)

What happened to AQ - I think it means autism quotient.

jk, just kidding. etc, etcetera (I've seen several examples where it's written "ect"; it's very pqlir...). pqlir, peculiar.
