He seems to write the same way another user of AFF writes, I think he is the second account of another user, etc.
Any ideas?
Lets say it would be very nice if he filled in something on his bio or would make the introduction he said he wanted. Though I think it's not called introsuction by accident.
(btw I'm just to lazy to see if the other person ever made an introduction, he did not fill in anything on his bio though)
At first, I thought he was a troll. He seemed to make lots of random posts in random threads on his first day as a member, very similar to crud420's behavior before he was banned. Be he troll or not, if Skotohelion has a convincing story to tell us, this is the place to do so.
Is there a specific term, similar to "troll", used to describe someone who posts with one or more secret identities? If not, any suggestions?
During one of his multi-post rants, when he was directly asked why he was pretending to be this new "Skotohelion" character, he suddenly disappeared

[quote]Skoto appeared out of nowhere defending Ziyaret, hating all the same people Ziyaret hates, using some of the same phrases, working the same old agendas, making the same grammatical errors, calling the same poster a "***", making the same accusations, even referring to one of Ziyaret's threads as his own (Skoto's) thread/quote]
Thats a run on sentence, which is considered a grammatical error.
So, Skotohelion, there's a whole thread about you being a fake identity for another member, and you just respond to grammatical errors? By the way, it's also an error to write "Thats" for "That's". There's no such word as "thats" (that I know of).
I know that if I was accused of something like that, I would be angry, and I would certainly be denying it. Are you going to deny or confirm this? I haven't seen this evidence that's been talked about, but I would appreciate it if you'd say something yourself.
Also, I think you're wrong about that being a run-on sentence. In any event, you understood perfectly well the meaning, so get past the petty surface and respond to the meaning.
Well, when I said "thats"-that certainly was a grammatical error. But it was also a typo on my part. Bear in mind that AFF does NOT allow editing of posts to correct spelling/grammar mistakes.
It's easy enough to create an anonymous, throwaway e-mail account to re-register on a forum under a different name.
Also, IP addresses are frequently checked to track users attempting to create multiple accounts with different e-mail addresses. However there are always proxy servers to 'mask' ones IP address.
The easiest way to find out if two users are the same is to compare some IPs from posts by the two users and see if they match. Moderators probably can do this (at least they can on other forum softwares). Of course, it's not perfect: two people who live together could be using the same computer with different usernames, or a user could fake IP addresses in order to disguise his sock-puppetery. But it's a start, and no privacy is invaded, since IP addresses don't reveal any personal details if you don't bother to look up where they came from.
So I'm still waiting for the introsuction.

^wow! I actually took the time to read through them all, and thats a messed up kid. 16 personalities in 1 body?
Ziyaret's last appearance, 8/16 PM.
Skotohelion's first appearance, 8/17 AM.
Oh, how can this mystery ever be solved?
How did you find that one out?
And before any of you try naming me as a socky, dont bother cause I am just me.
And dont ping me for grammar, coz I dont care
The trouble with the Internet is one can never be sure - unless you match up the IP address.
There are a couple of members on my Wiki who have been accused of being socks of me (I've met them IRL so that's bunk).
Then there is the issue of two people sharing the same computer in the same house.
Unless you are the admin of the forum or whatever - you just never know. Even with suspicious looking things like what was quoted above. How many other people joined on the same day?
Sorry, but the cat's already out of the bag. We know who Skoto is.
We have figured his ID out, and he knows we have him sussed, so lets stay on the lookout for his next socky
lol, it doesnt matter!! Just let him post, and flame him if he gets banned
