Since this is the spectrum forum I feel justified in saying that the idea of voluntarily staying in during recess makes my ADHD brain hurt. I do see your point, though. Although, come to think of it, I was never bullied in elementary school. Or ever, really.
he shouldnt have to-learn to socialise etc etc as he hates it, shouldnt have to compromise-if he doesnt want to-shouldnt have to do something he cant do-or his brain wont let him do-my boy shouldnt have to fit in with the "norm"-but it is what is required-and that really eats me away. ( i think im off topic-i do apologise )
I'm sorry, but I think he does have to learn to socialise to at least some extent, and to at least get some experience in dealing with immature people, if only to know how to avoid them.
Anyway, you don't technically have to socialise much in elementary school. I managed to ignore pretty much everyone till nearly junior high, if I remember correctly.
