I think it's sad that the child's mother thinks her daughter needs to "recover" from autism. Really, what is there to recover from, it's not like it was caused by some blunt force to the head. I'd like to think that a parents goals for their child revolve around the child being happy and healthy rather than the child fitting into their idea of what a "normal" family should look or be like.
