The subject of the paper got help and it worked.  ???  better than the usual prescription and "get out" some people get.  I don't know much about neurofeedback.  I found cognitive therapy worked.
I'm afraid I couldn't read more than one page of this.  They lost me from the point of where she was living, without doors, to her getting to the doctor's office.  It took me a few minutes to work out that where she lived was in the figurative sense only.  Then the physical description jarred me: she had "lanky" hair.  Does that mean her hair was tall?  Also, she was "sunken".  What, like the Titanic?  So I decided not to try struggling through the rest of the awful prose, it was painful to my Hyperlexia.
