Exploring Normality and Neurodiversity
7 pm on 12 September @ City Hall (just off Tower Bridge)
Speakers (provisional) include: Dinah Murray (Birmingham Uni), Larry Arnold (member of NAS, speaking in personal capacity) and David Morris (Disability advisor, Mayor of London)
The meeting will question the dominant medicalised perception of autism and ask whether the problems that people with an autism diagnosis experience are more a result of discrimination, marginalisation and exclusion practiced by society against those seen as different to the norm.
All welcome - those with an autism or Aspergers diagnosis are particularly encouraged to come along.
