i don't know about you but does this cry fore-sam to any of you? and about the ADHD kids being dangerous i have one thing to say to the parents just because you don't understand something does't give you the right to hate it

just because i don't understand sarcasm it doesn't mean i can't use it!

This angers me so much to see how much of an affect the media has had on people's opinions of me. Recently I saw a kid with ADHD on TV. He was screaming and crying inconsolably and head butting a door. What the hell did the ADHD community do to deserve that label? Why the hell do I have to put up with that kind of crap every time someone finds out I have ADHD? Do they have any idea how much it upsets me to see people disregard my opinions and value me pejoratively just because I have ADHD and they don't know what it is?

At least Asperger's is different. The Asperger's movement has pushed for neurodiversity and "we aren't defective, just different". In that respect, the ADHD community is still in the dark ages. We aren't defective either, we are just different. We sure as hell don't scream and bash our heads against doors on television.

The thing that angers me the most is people who say they don't believe what I say when I advocate ADHD. They just disregard it and retain the opinion of "ADHD is a label for bad kids whose parents didn't discipline them so Ritalin does".
