It seems like DigiModify just wanted to know if there were any Aspie JW's like himself around - he wasn't really trying to push his beliefs on anyone, and probably doesn't deserve a lot of the attacks on his religion. After all, I can imagine Aspie in the JW community have particular things that are hard to deal with, and as such probably deserve a support network.
I'm not JW or Christian, I just felt compelled to say so.
...glancing back through Charlie’s notes (in Hebrew) Joe spotted the word YHWH. And this, as all scholars of Hebrew know, is the name of God. And this, as clever Joe realised, could run and run. The bad news was that the word was totally unpronounceable. The even worse news was that since the time of the Babylonian exile, the Hebrew language had adopted the name Adonai which means Lord and voluntarily denied itself the use of the true name of God. Clever old Joe was about to fix that.
Throwing in a couple of vowels to the Hebrew made the name Yahweh, which was still pretty bad even if the word actually sounded more like Jahveh.
Now combine that with Adonai and Jehovah was, although a linguistic mistake, Joe’s idea of the name of the One True God.
Random point of clarification - the letters YHVH (not YHWH), in conjunction with 4 vowel sound indicators, were deliberately picked to be unpronouncable, as an indication that one should not pronounce the name of god. People being people, they tried anyway (by shifting the vowel indicators around). Some of the more common ones were Yahweh, Yehoveh, and Jehovah - which were often used in everyday talk within Judaism, and long predate the existence of Christianity or the JW's.
*grins* I've always been fascinated by religious history - especially the evolution of holidays...
What are the attacks on his religion? If there are error in the article I provided, correct them, but otherwise facts are facts, not attacks.
Several comments by various people throughout the forum have had a distinctly anti-JW tone. I'm not really debating the truth or untruth of them, just suggesting that the original post was for DigiModify to find people similar to himself, rather than to debate whether people agree or disagree with JW's.

I was baptised in 87 but fell away after 10 years as I felt like a hypocrite as I either think about sex constantly, or have to masterbate, niether are allowed, I could try to do one, but my hormones wouldnt allow me to do both.
I was going to wait untill I was old and dried up to try and go back again but have since found out some things that they wouldnt let me back in for for knowing, despite still believing the JWs are the only religion that doesnt worship the Nimrod/Semi-remis Trinity.
I now belive that Jesus warning about Satan sowing weeds amongst wheat is primarily concerned with true religion, not false religion, else why would he bother?
Things that make me belive that include the JWs joining that most evil of Satanic counterfiet Kingdoms, the United Nations as an NGO for 10 years, ever wonder why there where so many positive articles in the Awake?, it was a requirement for joining.
The child molestation crisis that the Governing body spends a lot of your money on protecting the abusers, yet they will disfellowship you for something as minor as smoking.
The main thing though is how if any of the annointed themselves offer "new light", they are disfellowshipped as Apostates, so where and how does this "New Light" come from if not the annointed?, have a read of Fred Franzs book to hear it from the horses mouth, or check out the e-Watchman site.
As for 1914, did you ever read the Finished Mystery book?, did you see how Russell got 1914 from the lenght of passages in the great pyramid?
The fact that all other religious and secular sources give a date other than 607 bce indiates Russell did some slight adjusting to history in order to match his Pyramid notions and get his "two witnesses", the Bible and the Pyramid, to harmonise.
But war did indeed break out in 1914 you might say!
Well how about this, Russell, producer of "Zions Watchtower", was in communication with the Global banker and foremost Zionist Rothchild, a bit of research about the Rothchilds may indicate they arranged the First World War.
Now as Rothchild is heavilly tipped to be the family that the "Jewish Messaih" and the One World Order is to come from, I wonder if its feasable that Rothchild chose to start the War that would start to get Israel back at a date that Russell had shown was a Biblical date for the return of the crown to Israel?,
Russell would take 1914 to be the return of the crown to Spiritual Israel, but the propheshy would apply equally to Rothchild and the Crown that Fleshly Israel is waiting for!
So there you have it, the possibility that Russell and the JWs invertantly set the date for the first world war!
Also, all those fillfullments of revelation that where suppossed to happen in 1919 and the 2360 days etc, by now, how but the JW s even remember these supposed earth shattering events?, its now irelevant to mankind, yet any of the annointed that try and point this out, disfellowshipped.
Along with any body that mentions to the governing body all the satanic images and goats that appear in the societies publications, do a Google search, you would think the society would take steps to remove however draws these images, not disfellowship somebody who innocently points them out, whilst allowing child molestors to stay.
So, tahts why I think the weeds have taken over, which is a shame as the rank and file JWs where genuinely the nicest and most loving people I ever met.
Guess its only to be expected though, look at what Satan did to the Israelites!
