Aspies For Freedom

[/font][font=Arial]pelicans fly and dogs chase their tail
a letter with no stamp arrives in the mail
august arrives after july as it will
the room spins dizzy from a puff or a pill
millions alone and surrounded by fear
the monter cries out but we pretend not to hear
our walk is demure and we don't miss a step
grounded in turmoil though none of us wept
we lose and we gain, in the end it's the same
nothing to do and no one to blame

the mirror shows time and the scar shows I know
frolicking wildly we dance for the show
forgetting the words we hum out the tune
hoping that life will show us all soon
sincere and respite I know just a little
respectful of fear I laugh and I giggle
misguided to start and running to see
that young inspiration is soon to set free
the fire that burned we thought was a sin
tricky forget and in love with life again

I promise you nothing, I may run from the fight
but with my departure I'll leave you my light
what you do I don't care, if all is gone today
it was all just a joke, and it didn't matter anyway
